Brienne of Tarth played by Gwendoline Christie.
Game Of Thrones Season 2.
considering Gwendoline Christie is a 6’3 tall actress/model when she’s not playing Brienne of Tarth, I’d say they did a fine job making her look more ‘plain’ as Brienne is supposed to look. I know a lot of people are like”BUT SHE’S NOT UGLY ENOUGH” .. well.. so? Who cares? Brienne is more about overcoming the limitations placed upon her by being a female knight in a predominantly male warrior/knight society. ILU BRIENNE BB. If she ACTS the part well and brings Brienne’s essence and struggle and courage to the screen.. that’s all I want. Like I didn’t imagine Jackie Gleeson to be Joffrey..I found him to not be as handsome as I imagine Joffrey. But omg did he bring Joff’s character to life.
only minor.. uh.. complaint..
isn’t she supposed to be in blue armor and the like.. cos of the Rainbow Guard >.>
IIRC in one of the teasers/behind the scenes clips that have been released you can spot her wearing an armor with a blueish hue, so I wonder if it’s just a difference in the photo filter or whether they are differentiating between her tourney armor and her everyday one, so to speak. This said, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if they dropped the rainbow guard/rainbow cloak thing (after all Loras doesn’t have a green armor either?), since the look of the show is so much more… desaturated compared to the colorful, ornate, almost garish stuff people often wear in GRRM’s descriptions.
